“At no time did Mr. McCabe participate in any extended discussions about the use of the 25th Amendment, nor is he aware of any such discussions,” his spokeswoman, Melissa Schwartz, said in a statement on Twitter, adding that his remarks about the issue were taken out of context.

Are those comments in his new book?

An unelected bureaucrat at a federal police agency decides that he and other unelected bureaucrats are going to use their positions to overturn the election decision of the American people. In 1917, the Bolsheviks after taking over Russia made good on their pledge to hold an election; Lenin’s group of thugs got all of 17 percent of the national vote. The results of the election were cancelled and there was never another honest vote held while they held power. Is there really much difference between the Bolsheviks and this gang of faceless, self-important grey crooked bureaucrats at the FBI trying to cook the election for Hillary, dispensing unequal justice in their treatment of Hillary and Trump, conspiring to overturn a national election, and deciding just who is fit to be the chief executive?? I saw Trump at his press conference yesterday; an on your feet, no notes, presentation that would shame most trained trial lawyers, great knowledge of the facts and very deft handling of his obvious enemies, the press. And McCabe and his gang wanted to overthrow him? McCabe can’t even remember what he wrote in his book.

“And the highest levels of American law enforcement were trying to figure out what to do with the president.”

On who’s authority? Answerable to whome?

Note the weasel word “extended.” McCabe admits that he participated in such discussions. They just weren’t “extended” ... which has no legal meaning.

My thought as well, and if those comments are not in his new book, what would be the point of the book to begin with?

Something is so wrong mentally with this guy it’s almost beyond belief. I really find it hard to believe that someone this stupid was ever in charge of anything beyond a small business picking up dog shit - he’s a former high level DOJ official? IMPOSSIBLE

If it was repeated by the MSM, there’s a 50/50 chance it was taken out of context.

The other half of the time it’s just made up.

Interesting that the spokeswoman felt the need to include “extended” in the denial. Does “extended” mean into the second week of discussion? Or multiple months? Or that he “quickly” ordered his minions to look into it and report back if it looked like a possibility?

Sounds like McCabe is offering to testify to avoid prison. However unless he has plenty of hard documented evidence it won’t work. His word alone is worthless.

I believe that is the very definition of sedition. Hang 'em all!

“There were meetings at the Justice Department at which it was discussed whether the vice president and a majority of the cabinet could be brought together to remove the president of the United States under the 25th Amendment,” Pelley said.

Well; let's see...

Amendment XXV

Section 1.

In case of the removal of the President from office or of his death or resignation, the Vice President shall become President.

Section 2.

Whenever there is a vacancy in the office of the Vice President, the President shall nominate a Vice President who shall take office upon confirmation by a majority vote of both Houses of Congress.

Section 3.

Whenever the President transmits to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives his written declaration that he is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, and until he transmits to them a written declaration to the contrary, such powers and duties shall be discharged by the Vice President as Acting President.

Section 4.

Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.

Thereafter, when the President transmits to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives his written declaration that no inability exists, he shall resume the powers and duties of his office unless the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive department or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit within four days to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office. Thereupon Congress shall decide the issue, assembling within forty-eight hours for that purpose if not in session. If the Congress, within twenty-one days after receipt of the latter written declaration, or, if Congress is not in session, within twenty-one days after Congress is required to assemble, determines by two-thirds vote of both Houses that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall continue to discharge the same as Acting President; otherwise, the President shall resume the powers and duties of his office.

Well; Trump hasn't resigned or died... Section 1

Trump hasn't sent any 'declaration'... Section 3

I see no indication that Pence is COLLUDING with 'a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body' now or in the future... Section 4

On one hand, I’d say McCabe is the biggest dumbass on the planet. Who the heck would admit openly on TV and in print that he committed a treasonous act against our government?

On the other hand — dumbassery aside — he knows he’s in the “protected class” and immune to any legal harm.

Still, though, he really doesn’t seem to be the brightest bulb in the socket...

“At no time did Mr. McCabe participate in any extended discussions about the use of the 25th Amendment, nor is he aware of any such discussions,”

A Clintonian parsing of words. How exactly are "extended" discussions different from just plain discussions? What does it mean when he says he was not "aware" of any such discussions? Does he mean "extended" discussions or any discussions at all?

Pelley will be forced to address this on Sunday given his remarks hyping the airing of the interview.

McCabe was stupid enough to mention the 25th Amendment and wearing of a wire. If this was all coming from Rosenstein, McCabe should have reported it to Sessions or the IG. He didn't because both Rosenstein and him were plotting a coup against a sitting President.

McCabe is a total liar.

I didn’t call him a liar. My comment was taken out of context.

It is quite obvious that the bottom line of their meetings was...

THEY HAD TO “MANUFACTURE” SOME EVIDENCE.

This nitwit thinks he will get away with this simply because he had GOOD INTENTIONS.

The State punishes actions, God punishes intentions.
