For what its worth, DUI is a driving offense in NJ, not a crime (not even a misdemeanor).
I always thought that was strange, “misdemeanor” means minor crime, so a serious misdemeanor is sort of a contradiction. Felonies should be reserved for serious crimes, etc.
The mental contortions and pretzel logic engaged in daily by our betters to excuse behavior in some is intolerable.
