Oh, I think the Green New Deal IS going to happen eventually.
All of the demographic trends with a few of us dying every day, Millenials remaining Socialism fans as they age, and radicals seizing the Democrat Party tell me it’s bound to happen at some point.
Likely some horse trading will go on where we wind up keeping airplanes and hamburgers in exchange for approving massive doses of socialism.
Only upside for us is that it’s going to cut the Dems off at the kneecaps for 2020. Long term outlook beyond that not good though.

I am not convinced any other Republican could evade the press and all the Leftist attackers the way Trump has.
His son might actually be the only one. He has his head glued on straight, and I think he’s got to brass ones to pull it off.
I don’t think Pence could do it. I may take heat for that, but that’s how I see it. I don’t dislike him. This situation calls for someone beyond the pale, and I’m just not sure he’s got what it takes.
