That a 29 year-old political nobody has risen in less than one year to engage in political discourse with the President of the United States is the real story here. Of course many would make the same statement about Trump, going from never having run for anything to becoming Potus in less than 4 years. When people piss and moan about how dumb she is, and why are we even giving her the time of day — that is the reason. It’s a sign of a new political era that is quite remarkable in many ways. Just think of how your congressperson must feel to have eaten endless rubber chicken dinners, ooohed and ahhed over countless babies, and done the bidding of their party only to be completely upstated by the Airhead Of Congress. If you think the democrat pols are thrilled by her arrival, think again. This is a crisis in the D party and as Rahmbo said, you never want to let a good crisis go to waste.
