Male caller is through with Trump if Trump signs the compromise bill.

So, caller, who else is going to get any better a deal? Cruz? Romney? Jeb? Rubio?

Caller is one of those looking for/waiting for any excuse to jump ship.

[Disclaimer: I am on the side of throwing the bill back at the Dems and go public on how they did not negotiate in good faith. They said if he reopened the government ... now they are reneging. Shut it down, again, and maintain until the Dems deliver.]

He should announce a signing ceremony and invite the Dims so that he gets full news coverage, then veto it as they did not compromise, but added more unreasonable demands to lower the real fix while appearing to compromise.

I hope that your desclaimer comment happens but am not too optomistic.

I think the big issue is the number of beds. But the fact that the dems have offered over a billion (55 miles of funding) gives gives Trump and all of us a great hammer with which to pound them on their hypocrisy.

How can Schumer say, "NOT A CENT" followed by Pelosi, Booker and others saying, "Walls are immoral" and then defend giving $1.35 BILLION to build 55 miles?

I think they have painted themselves into a corner.

I agree. That's what we all said would happen three weeks ago.

The problem for Schumer and Pelosi now is that any new complaints they make about the shut-down will have no credibility because they just spent three weeks proving that they won't honor their pledge to negotiate in good faith. Any calls for new concessions to end the second shut-down will fall on deaf ears.

The problem for Trump is that he has to deal with a GOP that eagerly snatches defeat from the jaws of victory by always rushing to save Democrats from their own disasters in the making.
