Where did the matter come from for the big bang?
It says many times in the bible that God does not dwell in time. Time is a dimension

Good, astute question.. In answer: from the void of primordial chaotic matter This of course is a truncated version of Gen. 1:2:

And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. KJB

From the ancients to Joseph Smith, the void is the "one substance" that may or may not be divine and is most generally held to be energy. Among current mystical pantheist physicists the void is known as the Quantum Void--an energy field that emits evolutionary energies.. For modern Atomists (evolutionary materialists), the void is where physical matter endlessly collides supposedly resulting in a Big Bang

Though modern versions of these humanist nature religions are draped in 'science' that are continuations of myths reaching back to Babylon. .
