The rest of the city offices are all Democrat with the 2018 O’dork New Democrat sweep (the Republican governor stayed in office but all 5 major cities in Texas voted against him, some by 2-1). Straight ballot voting (it’s final year for Houston) handed complete control to Democrats.

Houston Femocrats ran on making law enforcement more lenient on minority “yutesl, turning out huge Black and Brown support that defeated every Republican judge.
Some of those judges gave the voters what they wanted and dropped cases against minority gang members,releasing them back into their ‘hoods. The howling began immediately from the same people who voted for leniency.
One of these days the pendulum will swing back violently.
