I can see why you have no need to discuss anything.
You've already read my mind and/or believed your own strawman.
You have an inordinate idea of what kind of authority a pope has in non-infallible statements. And you have only the haziest idea of what the Ordinary Magisterium consists of --- if you have any idea at all.
Your problems seem to arise from this notion that a pope is some kind of clerical factotum, megalo-monarch and all-purpose oracle, and that the Church is, in effect, the mystical body of the pope.
So; Peter is NOT the rock; correct?
This is from Scripture:
"I say to you, you are Cephas=Peter=Rock; and upon "this" rock I will build my Church." This is also from Scripture: when Jesus says "Who do YOU say that I am?" Peter days "You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God" (Jesus says "Flesh and blood" (your meat-head) has not revealed this to you, but My Father in heaven..."
But 90 seconds later, when Peter says to Jesus, concerning His coming passion and death, "Oh. no, Lord, God forbid such a thing should happen to you," Jesus says (using a new name!) "Get behind me Satan, you are acting as a stumbing stone to me(get it? a different kind of rock?) because you are not thinking as God thinks,, but as a mere human being."
Di you notice, Peter himself is Rock (speaking as God thinks) bu also as _stumbling-stone (thinking with that meathead of is?)
God guides his when e speaks with faith (there's the faith of Peter) but not with human reason (Peter au natural, the stumble-bumble).
You can get so much from Scripture.
OK, I'm off to Mass. I'll pray for you.
You pray for me.
In short: don't do papolatry. It's not Catholic.
