the idea that doubling the carbon dioxide load in the atmosphere will cause the global temperature to go up by 8 to 10 degrees Celsius is laughable The amount of CO2 is 4/100ths of one percent.
The amount of Oxygen is around 21%.
The amount of Nitrogen is 79%.
The CO2 level means nothing more than a fart in a mitten.

3.75% [15 ppm] of the CO2 in the lower atmosphere is man-made from the burning of fossil fuels, and thus, the vast remainder of the 400 ppm atmospheric CO2 is from land-use changes and natural sources such as ocean outgassing and plant respiration.

The amount of Oxygen is around 21%.
The amount of Nitrogen is 79%. The greenhouse gases (including the big kahuna water vapor) absorb outgoing IR and instantly transfer the energy to the O2 and N2. The greenhouse effect relies on O2 and N2 for heat storage.
