I agree Warren and Booker don’t have a chance. Harris may get the nomination, but she can’t beat Trump.

I think most democrats really want a woman candidate. I thought Klobucher might be a dark horse, but if what we’re hearing now that no one likes or wants to work with her, she’s not electable.

I keep hearing that most dems want a candidate who can beat Trump. I’m guessing that most will conclude that Harris can’t do it. I wouldn’t rule out Biden, but Trump would whup him.

I wouldn’t rule out Bloomberg. He has bought a lot of good will by contributing tons of money to candidates around the country. And, it would be one New Yorker vs. another.

I don’t see another woman, but there might be one lurking in the background. Wouldn’t be at all surprised if Hillary tries to weasel her way in. I think she will wait for a while until she sees some of the candidates self-destruct.

I think it boils down to how much democrats want to field a female candidate. I’m sure that’s a high percentage of dem voters. Will they be practical and pick their best candidate? If they want both a woman and the best candidate they need to keep looking for one.

Harris would be a very tough opponent, a female version of Obama who received the two highest vote totals for President in history. In third place is Hillary. The Dems have won the popular vote in six out of the last seven elections. The reason: a rapidly changing demography fueled by mass immigration and high (compared to non-Hispanic whites) minority birth rates.

Harris can energize and engage the already rabid Dem constituency. A woman, part black and part Asian, and the daughter of immigrants. Harris moved to Montreal at age 12 with her Indian mother and graduated from high school in Canada. Her mother lived in Canada for 16 years.

Harris went to Howard University, aka the black Harvard. She is more down with the struggle than Obama. She will get out the black vote more than any other Dem candidate. The Dems need a high minority turnout.

IMO Harris is the most formidable candidate the Dems could nominate. Biden would be next in terms of a challenge. Obama is the kingmaker for the Dems. His endorsement will be highly sought.

Agree. She will gladly accept the “ call for her to run” to the best chance against the Donald. After all she can claim I beat him on total votes, just swing some more in the states and we will win electoral college this time.

I know its a long shot but wouldn’t be ironic if the Democrats decide for pasty white guy Gov. Hickenlooper. I wonder if their desire to win/beat president Trump will overcome their desire to elect a woman/minority. These early contenders seem tremendously flawed from a national elect-ability stand point. The rest of these candidates will make him look like a moderate and governors tend to fair pretty well nationally.
