Illegal immigration ticked down at the border in January, but officials said Friday the trends are still worrisome, with the number of families trying to sneak into the U.S. still near all-time highs.
They’re increasingly coming in massive groups, which the cartels use to overwhelm Border Patrol agents — then send a shipment of drugs across the border in a nearby location, confident that the agents are occupied feeding or performing medical checks on the illegal immigrants and won’t be able to respond.
“They’re using these large groups to facilitate the crossing of narcotics because they know they’ve tied up a large percentage of our manpower,” one Customs and Border Protection official said, briefing reporters on the latest numbers and tactics.
On any day, about 150 Border Patrol agents are pulled out of the field and have to do “hospital watch,” staying with hundreds of illegal immigrants who were so sick when they arrived that they needed immediate medical attention, officials said.

The cartel is a lot smarter than the Democrats, or course most everyone else is also.
Border agents finally caught on. First “Harvey, how do you figure so many guys in their twenties with beards need so many plastic bags of flour and sugar day after day? So many guys are into baking?? I thought mostly women baked.”
Finally they caught on.
What they’re smuggling is Mexicans and Hondurans and Guatemalans.
When you see a group of 250 walk across the border, remember every one of them paid around four thousand bucks to the cartel for the right to cross the fence in that cartel’s territory. A group of 250 you’re looking at a cool million dollars
Next will be bio weapons other than drugs, real world weapons such as ieds.

And it looks like New Mexico is now the open gate.
This cannot possibly be true because I have heard many democrats and especially the MSM talking heads contend that the cartels only use ports of entry to sneak drugs across the border. They wouldn’t dare try it in some out of the way place because that would be in violation of the code of honor that they adhere to.

It is just not broadcasted on the nightly news of the severity because the American Citizen would FREAK out.

Yep...our newly elected governor is a real
piece of work. No response to any
attempted correspondence be it phone or
email. She has completely shut out the
opposing point of view. I dearly hope
New Mexico gets it’s wall. I’d love to
send her a few pictures of a 30’ wall
that stretches for miles across the
desert.
