We’ve seen Germany marching towards a confrontation for decades...
RE: Future German Leader Calls for EU Army
You know, I kinda like the idea. Why should the US keep shouldering their defense?
Any “EU army” won’t be a plaything because it will be a JOKE.
Germany fought 2 wars to get control of Europe and now they’ve done it without firing a shot
As they rely on Russia for oil.
Reading some of the reports about the combat performance of Germany’s Armored Brigade in Syria, probably not. Mechanical breakdowns, lack of spare parts, long down times, and lack of proficiency by the vehicle crews were well publicized. And that was supposed to be one of their “best” units. Also heard a report that their diesel-electric sub fleet has been out of commission for maintenance and overhauls for a couple of years and that will be the case for another 1 or 2. Doenitz and Rommel are probably registering on a seismograph in Central Europe...
Good Begin brining home US troops tomorrow.
The EU together is the largest economy in the world, or close to it.
Why does the USA need to subsidize their defense any longer? All we are doing is enabling their expensive, leftist, social-engineering schemes.
Why wait? Kick the out of NATO today.
Just one itsy, bitsy problem there Kanzlerin. Armies require soldiers, equipment, facilities, etc., and all that takes money. Money your government has refused to spend. You think your buddy Macron is gonna let you free ride on him?
Fourth Reich rises. First thru the EUroNazi regime in Brussels (and the EUroNazi central bank in Frankfurt)
now an EuroNazi military...
we are witnessing history
If Germany wants another war with us, I say we deliver it right this very minute.
An EU army might be about the only army left standing and in good order in a post Ezekiel 38/39 world.
Ha. Plaything? You know you are Mohammed’s plaything sweetheart.
This comes up every couple of years - from a EU ‘Rapid Reaction Force’ to a EU ‘Army’. The EU is really good at putting things down on paper - and creating new staff organizations. Might be a bit tough when an ‘Army’ can only work eight hours a day.
Europe's Luftwaffe attacking Poland.
Yet again...
Ummm, about that russian pipeline... Give me a BREAK!
2/8/19: EU ambassadors have agreed to toughen regulations on a controversial gas pipeline from Russia to Germany, but they have decided not to back plans that might threaten its completion.
Maybe Germany will get a third tank now.
The problem for the Yurps - Germans in particular - is that they hardly have any intact males left. There is no patriotism in those countries, the political establishment there having long vilified it. Their socialism is deeply entrenched and they have no money to spend on their armed forces even if they could find enough actual men to do the soldiering in the first place. They have no will to adequately fund their military anyway even if they had the extra cash. They’re done.
