It’s obvious to me Morthams nick is Koonman cuz thats him in the blackface M. JACKSON getup.
The costume inspired the name and he knows it!
Certainly there’s a reason in his case you have the photographic evidence on the other page.
Northam is just too weak to be a man and admit the truth.
He’s a farking empty shell, a gd Disgrace the *ussy!
I don’t care about “blackface”. It means nothing.
The legislature considered, some legislators sponsored, and the governor supported, a bill to legalize infanticide.
THAT’S a scandal.
Through all this....no one mentions Senator Byrd....a ten year member and LEADER of the KKK.
Yeah, I’ve been waiting for someone to drop that bomb and they are all too chicken to do it.
Is this just a Virginia thing?
I went to college in the early eighties and attended frat parties with the biggest bunch of rednecks ever and never once saw anyone in blackface. Even that long ago, people knew it was wrong and racist.
It's all about control. Nobody is perfect enough to escape the culture police. People who are white and nationalists are not racists. Only the Deep State gets to decide who's worthy.
There. I've been very, very bad. Saying all of that. Maybe we all should start standing up to black racists and those who are using them to achieve total control.
This is definitely not good for the Virginia Tourist Board.
Ive spoken with several people who went to high school and/or college in CA and it would have been atrociously racist to have such photos and slurs in our yearbooks. Certainly in my school there was nothing like that. It was a mostly middle to upper middle class school in LA and there were kids bused from the inner city, and I never encountered racism at school. Even the gay people had mostly an easy time of it. My favorite teacher was gay. Clearly, things were a LOT different in the 80s in VA.
Not just VMI
Racial slurs were not uncommon of back in the day.
Again, I am not defending or making excuses- just pointing out what was.
There was a difference between racial insensitivity and racism
Neither is acceptable but they were not the same
We are playing a very dangerous game treating them as such
Needs a more in there and that is a great line! Lol!
I basically wrote the same post 2 below yours! It wasnt a thing, and a white person would have been excoriated for it!
I bet if they line up ALL of the high school and college yearbooks from 1960 until about 1975, they will find TONS of pictures of “blackface”, and KKK, other “racist” evidence on people of every political persuasion, ethnic background, and other demographic available.
Soon, the MSM will have to just dismiss these stories as being meaningless (which, for the most part, they are). JMHO
So where does this guy sit in the chain of succession?
Can’t tell the players without a program...
Can a student in your school wear a MAGA hat?
A stutterer would call Mortham, “K K K Koonman!”
Al Jolson made a living, singing in “black face,” and was never called out as a racist. The label, “racist” is a present day means of challenging ones thoughts or deeds.
Wish I had the picture of the little black boy saying, “that’s raciss!”
This isn’t a very good attempt at deflection. Being one of 7 people responsible for putting together a yearbook is not going to make you responsible for everything in the yearbook.
Notice that nobody has been trying to call out the editor of the 1984 yearbook that had Northam’s page on it.
It is one thing (a stupid thing) to go after people who post pictures in blackface, but another to say that everybody involved with the publications has to be called out.
And all this pales in comparison to the sexual assault accusation that apparently a good number of democrats in our state knew about for a year, and NEVER ONCE mentioned or tried to investigate.
I don’t feel donning a costume even blacking your face is some evil thing, unforgivable. What sickens me is the dishonesty of this guy, he has sent out mixed signals but not owning up to the fact thats him in the photo doing Jackson.
He is holding the office of governor and if he’ll lie about something from his college days he can’t be trusted and that’s why he probably should step down.
Can a student in your school wear a MAGA hat?
That is another story.
