1. You don't have to believe in extraterrestrials to read about what other people think. I don't believe in peanut butter, but there are people making sandwiches out of the stuff, so maybe there is something to it.
2. The United States was founded as a Republic, and turned into a Democracy by the 12th and 17th amendments. Today it is more a kin to being a Democracy than a Republic. Read about it ...
