Yeah sure. Iam sure they will come down hard on him. There are no real consequences for faking a hate crime. Even though faking a hate crime is itself a hate crime.
Without proof he wasn't assaulted his supporters will claim it happened and the CPD are involved in a cover-up.
Like I said the CPD can only hope he trips himself up and his story falls apart.

But that is not positive proof he was not attacked. Remember, if a cop makes a charge, the DA will have to confirm 1) the DA wants to pursue the charge and 2) the police have an airtight case.

It was barely a scratch, just under his right eye. No bruising, swelling, etc. Certainly, he didn't look like someone who had been "beaten by two men". When he appeared in public 4 days later, the scratch was gone and still no black eye. If you are going to fake a beating, at least make sure you have a few bruises! I thought this guy was an actor!

‘D’-enigrateing these folks never seems to make any difference. They remain fidiots. Still thinkin’ he’ll declare some sort of depression that will require counseling in a secluded un-named location.
True - it makes no difference to them what normal sane folks think - I’m just saying that we waste our energy when our emotions are allowed to let us actually “hate/detest” etc...like letting them live in our heads rent free.
Pragmatism keeps the bile and ulcers in check as we work to undo what they stand for....while our instincts cry out against what they stand for, we can still enjoy the living - and the hope that a President like Trump offers.
Kind of like “hate” the sin, love the sinner - as unlovable as they may be...I do it out of elf defense because as I get older I don’t want to waste a moment with unnecessary bad feeling...even when I get on others’ cases for some thing, I manage not to suffer angst/fear/worry, etc....mainly because I know that while I have different viewpoints and opinions, when it comes to God’s world, I ain’t much different than most of even the lowest of low lifes...I just manage to get one or two things a bit righter than them even as I live my imperfect existence.
There, I feel better now....;-)
Kind of my thoughts too. Maybe a little pity tossed in for them being less “right”. Pretty tolerant for a lot of things, others I stay away from when possible.
