Are Neandertals pre-Flood people?
Published: 2 February 2019 (GMT+10)
Markus B. asks:
I am in contact with someone who has read your article Neanderthal genome like ours. He does not agree with what you have written in your article, and thinks instead that Neanderthal man lived before the Flood and completely died out in the Flood (he also thinks Homo erectus, Homo heidelbergensis and Homo denisova died out in the flood). He argues that the genome of the Neanderthal man and modern man mixed already before the flood, and that this would explain the findings.

From his CV:
“In 1996, I was awarded the three-year Maytag doctoral fellowship by the University of Miami.
When that expired, I received a one-year fellowship from the Institute for Marine Science. While working on my PhD, I designed and performed many experiments in marine ecology and genetic engineering and helped to develop new protocols for the rapid cloning of fluorescent protein genes.
The green and red fluorescent proteins my coworker and I cloned from hard and soft corals were used to create transgenic zebrafish.
We patented one of these protein genes and licensed it to Promega, Inc. under the trade name Monster Green.”
What, like when Hurricane Harvey flooded out Texas a couple years ago?
Well, yeah, they must been descendants of Japheth...............
Well, the question the thread is asking is “were the Neanderthals wiped out IN the flood?”
Noah’s Flood,
Neanderthal. Ed
I believe the Bible said that two of every species were included in the manifest, so that would have to have included Neanderthal and all the others. Of course they would have been given separate (but equal) accommodations.
That would make Adam and Eve Neanderthals.
So I am wondering if this explains why I have so much hair on my back and a basic attraction to red heads.

Was that on washers or dryers?

Why don’t you go to DU, they will like you there.
No. They were long gone. Those who were drowned in the Flood were our own species, Adamic man.
I am still waiting for someone to tell me how all of the unique animals in Australia swam there from where the Ark set down and avoided settling on any other land mass on earth. Or did they just evovle in 7000 years? Why aren’t their tigers in Brazil? Why aren’t there elephants in Nova Scotia?
Somebody remind me what all the predators on the ark ate for 7 months at sea and how they were able to store all that livestock. Did they put all 35,000 species of spiders on the ark and all 12,000 species of ants. Or did they all evolve later?
How can you say Neandrethals were long gone? There are still people who have some Neandrathal DNA.
It’s a metaphor.
‘The Flood’ goes to a major episode that is still not completely understood, as a huge glacier lay upon North America around 12,900 years ago, and in some sudden ‘event’ (thought to be a meteor to strike the middle of this....it melted (in a matter of days). Around Chicago, it was figured to be 1 to 2 miles thick.
So the waters rose across the surface of the planet...figure roughly 300 ft, and it has never decreased since that point. Prior to 12,900 years ago...the coastlines were further out, and you could have walked from England to France.
The Ark story is a great story, but in practical ways....it doesn’t work.
