Holy moley. CBS is willing to report over 70% approval of Trump’s speech and immigration proposals? After they have told us walls are immoral and Schumer and others said Trump’s speech would be full of lies and nonsense, the White House is in chaos etc etc??

CBS can’t have this . Tomorrow the’ll issue a correction saying the poll was in error and was only 43%.
Just to point out that the poll is concerning just people who watched the speech. A lot of Trump’s base likely tuned in while liberal voters probably didn’t even bother turn it on.
The big caveat on polls after State of the Union speeches is always that the people watching are more likely to be people who already support the President. The hope is that he wasn’t just preaching to the choir and reached some independents tonight...
