Not ironically, exactly what I was thinking as I typed my response.
Another angle on this - young brains are contaminated from birth by chemicals in our food supply that affect the cognitive functioning - allowing the subversive early child education system, as well as media aimed at them, to implant and lock in, snowflake behavior. The system permanently brainwashes them from birth.
The human brain is 5% of a person’s body mass yet requires 20% of the bodies energy supply to function properly. Adding copious amounts of chemicals into the food chain (dextrose, maltose,etc)may be responsible for the “brain fog” that may of us suffer from.
Exactly. All those things I listed are actually happening.

They have zero real-life competency of the sort Heinlein stated every man should know (except maybe the diaper-changing one, for a few house husbands).
Several encounters recently illustrate this: a young man in his 30s who looked over our pristine land and announced he’d aspire to restoring it for wildlife when the signs of abundant deer, turkey and small game were everywhere, could he only read them.
A young woman with an MD seriously asking my 67-year-old husband how he had learned to do so many different things and her apparent confusion when he shrugged and said he needed to learn them, found books or experts and taught himself.
People who cannot maintain a small engine, cook from scratch, build anything, repair anything,maintain anything, create anything. People who’d freeze to death waiting for a technician if their furnace quit during a freeze like last week’s. People who would die of thirst on acreage with 3 springs, 2 of them year-round, one even in the depths of winter, should the plumbing break. People who need an app to even make a list or keep a schedule. Like Pinterest and You Tube, they endlessly reiterate the same limited repertoire of knowledge available under the headings of survival or homesteading. Even the art and craft You Tubers copy each other.
Forget SHTF time. This cadre cannot function in the best times within the past 10 years.
My husband and I sought out elders and learned what we could of the things that weren’t even written down 40 years ago. Our grandchildren think facility with social media and off-the-shelf computer programs comprise all the life skills they’ll ever need. Their plan in the event the Earth dies in 12 years seems to hinge on taking a space ship elsewhere when they are the last people who would ever be able to travel space or colonize another world.
Devolution is on the march and it is all around us.
Many of the MSM writers have unpronounceable surnames.
What is a native concept to them, is anathema to Constitutionalists.
