Brady does not consume alcohol, bread, pasta, cereal, dairy, sugar, nightshade vegetables, strawberries, coffee or any salt......other than Himalayan pink.

Smart man. I try to do mostly the same. I do make allowances for beer/wine, coffee and a little dairy (eggs, cheese and whole-fat yogurt) but then I'm not an NFL quarterback playing well into my 40s.

But avoiding breads, pasta, cereal, (added) sugar, (added) salt - I'm pretty much convinced of the health benefits of that.

The whole institution of Boston sports, from root to stem, is tinged with the sort of racism that brought Trump into office. The Boston Red Sox were the last MLB team to desegregate, more than a decade after Jackie Robinson entered the league. The Sox’s first owner, Tom Yawkey, was an infamous racist whose speech was peppered with racial slurs. Larry Bird became a symbol of white resentment during his time in the NBA, his jersey appearing as a symbol of white entitlement to black spaces in Spike Lee’s Do the Right Thing. His large teammate, Kevin McHale, was spotted at a Trump rally during the election.

The horror!

So they had to go back almost sixty years - three generations - to Tom Yawkey, then cite a Spike Lee flick, always the most authoritative source, and a former player attending a Trump rally. Yes, the evidence is overwhelming. Can these people get more demented?*
