There is no question of going back on the Brexit withdrawal agreement, French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian said on Monday.
What do we want?
Cake!
When do we want to eat it?
Now!
It’s like a divorce with no equitable division of property and no spousal or child support at this point, keep what you possess and that’s the end of it. Britain should just do and thank its lucky stars they are not trapped in a losing proposition any longer.
I can#t believe how this woman is everywhere...
ALEXANDRIA OCASIO-CORTEZ SLAMMED FOR CALL WITH CORBYN

The British Prime Minister is to give a speech on Brexit in Northern Ireland tomorrow, her spokesman has said.

1. Britain walks out of the EU with no deal.
2. Britain announces they will keep the border with Southern Ireland open.
3. The EU then forces Ireland to build a hard border on their side.
4. The Irish finally realise they have been played for suckers by Brussels, and direct their anger where it belongs.
the ‘Malthouse Compromise’

I give a high probability for Jean-Claude Juncker and his EU pukes to give the UK a 6-12 month extension past the March 29, 2019 deadline for a soft or hard Brexit. Theresa May has been a complete disaster on this but let’s admit that most Tories in Parliament are anti-Brexit so she has a thankless task.
Juncker has been very cruel and manipulative in his demands and terms for the UK to leave the EU. In the end a hard Brexit is the best way.
The solution is simple, even obvious.
The UK should just annex Ireland. Voila, the problem disappears
as for our friends in poland, how certain can we be that poland will stay in the EU given its catholic heritage and antipathy towards muslims? and what of the judicial conflict with the EU courts potentially leading to a defacto polexit?
are things always static or is it more accurate to view politics as bodies in motion?

it certainly seems, cronos, as if you have a rather long list of punitive reasons why GB should bremain.
IOW, you are long on stick and short on carrot.
Are you suggesting that the EU is perfect? Perhaps you can elucide us on what flaws you see in the EU, and how the EU could be improved. Why not find and start with a list from a brexit proponent such as Farage (just as a starting point)? Either amend or replace the EU charter to suit your ideal European super-state. Don’t come back with why the EU would never change, or would take “too long” (in your opinion) to change. Spare us, spare us, spare us the EU soapbox pitch. Take it as a given that the EU could be changed to suit your ideals.
Do this as an exercise. Let’s see if you can give it an honest try. If you can’t, or won’t, given your vastly superior intellect and knowledge level, I think that will speak volumes on your behalf in this forum.
