Actually, both parties have. The number of R's who actually WANT smaller government and lower taxes is very small ( if any)compared to the R's who want to raise taxes for this or that and to control us more.

Yup, the pursuit of POWER in all its forms has corrupted virtually all leaders in Government.
Even more painful to see in Congress Critters with R’s next to their names.
Only a mentally impared person wants taxes increased!
