Starting this month (Feb), a second, taller (30 foot) bollard barrier begins construction 150 feet behind this new one. The enforcement zone (no man's land) between the barriers will have high speed patrol road for Border Patrol response, be lighted at night, under 24 hour video surveillance, and be alarmed with hidden sensors (essentially 100% detection). San Diego's border will be effectively closed by Christmas.
Thanks for the continuing photos of what is occurring on the border. Some inadequate barriers are being replaced and many new barriers are going up as I post this. Other contracts are being finalized to start this month.
People forget that the CR of 2017 gave some 1.4 billion for border protection, without stipulation on how used. With CBP and Border Patrol input, Pres. Trump started back in early 2018 after all the eminent domain, wall types, area priorities were addressed in 2017
Those who say nothing is being done are wrong! However, Trump does need more money for completion in critical areas. Since he won't get it from Pelosy, I'm good with using US Code, declaration of national emergency, or just use the DOD money and personell. Also, he now has an agreement with Mexico to take care of the asylum seekers, which is the main problem, and more on the way.
If CNN, MSNBC, and other News orgs did an unbiased job, they would have reporters down in Mexico and Central America where new caravans are forming. They can't play deaf, dumb, and blind, and claim this not truly a crisis of invasion. Europe has experienced it and are just now starting to revolt against their insane migration policies.
