Virginia Governor Ralph Northam (D-VA) finds himself in very hot water after The Virginian-Pilot published a page Friday from Northam’s medical school yearbook which “shows two men, one in blackface and one in a Ku Klux Klan robe and hood, on the same page as the governor.”
The Virginian-Pilot reported:
“On the half-page set aside for Northam, there is a headshot of him in a jacket and tie, a photo of him in a cowboy hat and boots and a third of him sitting casually on the ground, leaning against a convertible”
“The fourth photo on the half-page has two people, one wearing white Ku Klux Klan robes and a hood, the other with his face painted black. The person with the black face is also wearing a white hat, black jacket, white shirt with a bow tie and plaid pants. Both are holding canned drinks.”
“It’s unclear who the people in costume are.”
In 2017, while speaking at what appears to be a church following the Charlottesville riots, then-gubernatorial candidate Northam declared that white supremacists “are not welcome in” Virginia.
“Terry McAuliffe, Mark Herring, and I were there in Charlottesville to tell these people that they’re not welcome, that we’re not going to condone that kind of behavior, to go home and don’t ever come back to the Commonwealth of Virginia,” Northam said.

What is wrong with these people? NOW they are calling for this clown to resign because he dressed in Blackface. Didn’t matter that he wanted to “make a baby comfortable and then kill it” but go to a party in blackface and he is done.

Liberals are not anti-racist - many times they are racist. Have you ever heard the racial name calling directed towards Clarence Thomas by the left?
Liberals are practiced at weaponizing words and beliefs. If you advocate standing for the national anthem you are, they say, a racist. Same with wearing a MAGA hat. If you publicly opposed the election of a black socialist, you are a racist.
I can't recall a time liberals have stripped power from one of their own (that they needed to keep) because he/she made a racial offense. With the help of the media a photo of the governor in black face can be papered over.
He should issue a tearful apology and announce a run for president in the same appearance.
