I honestly don’t think even Trump is surprised by this. I think he’s getting them to paint themselves into a far left corner with Trump coming out as the reasonable, fair person in the negotiations.
I think I’ve seen polling that Trump is seen more favorably than the House Democrats recently.
Trump knows media and optics and the Democrats are frequently predictable. He gets to call them out during the SOTU and set the tone for the rest of February.
Except the media is already blaming the next shutdown on Trump. It's a mistake to think Trump will look good in ANY situation. Regardless of circumstance, he WILL be made the bad guy, no matter what.
I think you are quite correct, Trump knew this would be her position. She can’t give any ground or she loses her nut base support and the speakership.
Trump at the STOU address will tell us how he has extended the hand of compromise time and time again, but you can’t compromise when the Democrats, the new Party of No refuse to budge on anything after actually being for these same proposal just a few years ago.
He then does the National Emergency Declaration and heads to court and builds the entire wall. This will further enrage Botox’s nut ball base but will look entirely sane to a vast majority of the American people who will support it.
President Trump is laughing at everyone out in the peanut gallery, nobody seems to get it.
Of course Nancy is not going to give $$ for the wall but we know President Trump does NOT need Nancy's permission or money to use the military to build the wall to stop the invasion from Mexico.
President Trump has said contracts are going out and the wall is being constructed w/o waiting on Feb. 15.
The only reason President Trump "shut down" part of the gubermint is to let the RATS show the American people that they are in favor of letting terrorist and rapists into our country so their loved ones can be killed or molested.
And along the way Americans are seeing that the RATS are fine with killing newborn babies, just as long as the babies haven't been born too early. A ruling by the Supreme Court concerning baby killing should probably include that we are ALL guaranteed life, liberty.....
Abortion up to birth probably violates those guarantees.
