That reminds me of something I saw recently on TV about WWII. During the FDR, Churchill and Stalin meeting, FDR stated to Stalin that "God is with the Allies." Stalin replied that the devil is with us (USSR) because he is a communist. (paraphrased)
Stalin had it right, the difference being Communism doesn't believe in God whereas the Devil does - and shudders.
However, the Devil was on the same side as both Germany and the USSR and they did a number on each other and their respective counties and populations. The Devil thrives on chaos, suffering, death, and evil. There was more than enough of that to go around.
