Unless I missed it, the article doesn’t mention the source country(s) of the fruit.

Um, don’t you wash fruit because of this kind of possibility?

I don’t remember it being this bad when the illegals came here to pick fruit and weren’t interested in a free ride on the America Love Boat, Pinata.

Fruits, veggies, and tops of cans.
All get washed. Or in the case of mushrooms, gently wiped with a damp paper towel.

I guess they don’t want to mention the country of origin?
I’ve considered buying peaches, nectarines and plums over the last few weeks but then looked at the country of origin. I am always hesitant about fruits and vegetables from other nations.
I will buy fruits and vegetables from foreign nations if there are little or no options available in the USA — bananas, avocados, limes, and maybe a few others. I prefer it not be for close to 3rd world nations too.

I had a prolific peach tree in my back yard. It was okay, but when my power lawn mower blades hit a peach pit you’d thin a gun had fired.

Appears to be Chile.

With -60 degree Chicago wind chill and bad low temperatures all over the upper United States I agree it is chilly.

Okay. I thought the ones I passed on in the store were from Chili. Seems we’re getting more and more fruit from Chili.
