The incident occurred at about 5 p.m., according to police, in the Pecan Park neighborhood, near Harding St. and Fennell.
Details about the incident have not been announced, two law enforcement sources said five officers had been shot.
Their conditions are not known at this time.
According another law enforcement source, one of the wounded officers was shot in the face.

Gov. Greg Abbott issued a statement offering whatever help was needed to bring those responsible for the shooting to justice.
“This evening’s horrific attack on police officers is a solemn reminder of the service and sacrifice our brave men and women in law enforcement make every day to keep us safe,” he said, in the statement. “I ask all Texans to join Cecilia and me in praying for the officers injured, and for the continued safety of all law enforcement officers who protect our communities.”

I’ve lived in the Houston area most of my life and noticed a big uptick in violent crime after that. Definitely a lot more murders in the last few years.
Would hate to be a cop in Houston / Harris County where ALL of the judges are now Democrat except one who was not up for reelection. There were 59 Republican Harris County judges who lost their seats in last year’s election.

“Is there any way that’s not election fraud?”
The primary reason is straight party ticket voting. Most states do not have elected judges listed by party. If Texas didn’t then people would be forced to gather more info on the judges they vote for. But I suspect there was also a lot of fraud going on also.
Democrats should not be considered merely political rivals or opponents. Those who are party members are all for baby murder / genocide and the promotion of sodomy over families and religious freedom. That is what Democrat means today. Those whose conscience is this far gone cannot be trusted to be honest, ethical, or moral about any other matter, including voting and immigration. They should not enjoy the protections of a civil society.
