There were many threads on this forum the first time Rubio ran for office showing him promising border security to English speaking audiences in one video and then promising amnesty in Spanish to La Raza or some other group in another video.
He had to be lying to one group or the other. A lot of posters pointed this out on just about every Rubio thread, but he gives a good speech and a lot of Freepers wanted to believe the speeches.
When he and the rest of the Gang of Eight presented their first amnesty plan it became clear which group he had lied to, and when he was later photographed with McCain providing weapons to Al Qaida it came as no surprise.
Who he is and what he will is not and never was hard to predict if you paid any attention whatsoever to what he was telling Spanish speaking audiences years ago.
