Whew, now that’s just sad.
A CR is not a whole fiscal year appropriations bill. This defuses the ONLY talking point the Democrats have: “Open up the government first. Don’t hold the workers hostage.” Now the Democrats have no excuses. February 15, midnight, Trump will invoke the emergency action if there is not a signed fiscal year set of bills. DOD needs this 3 weeks to get the plans together to install the border security structures otherwise all parties involved will look incompetent.
