The parallels between the Brexit vote and Trump’s election are remarkable. Both radical events occurred in 2016 and in both instances the people rose up and expressed their desire for change. The two events provoked the respective establishments into all out resistance to the changes and, indeed, actions that would cause the complete failure of each. I agree with Farage that we are in a situation where we must hope for the best but prepare for the worst.
