As a lawyer, one of my most important jobs is telling people “No,” as in “No, you got shafted and lied about by scummy people but you have no remedy in the courthouse.” I tell that to a lot of people all the time. It makes them sad, but my destiny was never to bring joy but to bring pain. The hard fact is that you don’t want to get into any lawsuit if you can help it, and you especially don’t want to get into one that you can’t win. And when it comes to lawsuits over damage to your reputation, you mostly can’t win.
Before we go further, I’m not your lawyer. Do not take this as legal advice. If you think you have a case, you go talk to a lawyer licensed in your state and ask him, her or xim about it. Now proceed…

Absolutely, they should be suing media outlets for libel and Twitter for allowing death threats against them.

Ezekiel 34 has a few choice words about such false shepherds...who deserve a vigorous application of the rod and the staff upon their hindmost parts.
Let the lawsuits begin.
Someone needs to administer it. They betrayed those good young men. It’s inexcusable.
Diocese of Covington?? Absolutely!! If any institution has committed libel it was the Diocese throuhh its Bishop and his press release.
I do hope they sue the media and anyone else who slandered them, enough for their college educations to be paid for.
I didn’t realize that Shapiro beat “clock boy” in court and won a countersuit to boot. Hadn’t seen a word in print about it.
Starting with Kathy Griffin who called for the public at large terrorize and do God knows what to a bunch of high school kids.
Yet more people seem to be finding themselves being arrested for standing up to the racist mob. Nick certainly did the right thing by not saying anything.

Maybe, but I don’t know if that would work. At the least they should request a public apology from those yutzes.

We’ll never know if it would work until they try. Those bishops are despicable. They are disgraceful and betrayed those boys.

They’re trying to curry favor with the media, in hopes that their sex scandals will fade from the public view.
