“Nobody got wise to Uncle Walter until he was six feet under.”

For his vile reporting about the Vietnam War he should have been executed, along with the people in our government that got us into it in the first place. The thought that that $hit hole of a country became the “killing field” for 52,000 of our best ( including my cousin) should be cause enough to round up anyone who’s still alive who put us there, and hang them. In hindsight, we haven’t been involved in a war worth fighting since WWII. And I wished we had had Trump as our President when the Korean “conflict” started, because we wouldn’t have had 70 years and three Kims to deal with.

Yet they still blame Nixon for the War initiated by JFK and kicked into high gear by General LBJ.

At ease, Boys -

I'm right with you about posthumously hanging Uncle Walt but you lost coherence with the rest:

1. We had a full-on Cold War going against the Soviets, the Warsaw Pact and China at the time. Either of you doubt that it was dangerous?

2.Korea and the Vietnam were the Soviets and their pals latest tries at taking over critical points in the world for their overall global strategy to overcome us. (Hint: after WWII we were a global superpower and all areas around the world had strategic significance. Ever heard of the Straits of Malacca?)

3.As the Soviets and the NVA ramped things up, we had to as well - or just concede and let an ally get crushed in front of the world. We hung on for 8 long years as the world watched, American traitors ran a commuting service to the enemy's capitol in Hanoi and a full-time treason network disguised as an "antiwar movement".

4. We lost 58,220, not "52,000".

In the end, there were enough of us with guts to show that America wasn't a pushover and our allies stuck with us and the Soviet empire ran out of gas.

I was there, in combat, from January 1966 to May 1967: what were you boys doing?
