IF he is indeed 64, it would be questionable. Comments.

He is a known liar so the burden is on him to prove it which I doubt he will.

You are correct, he would have been at the end.

Unless he had a birthday in the last three weeks, he's 63.

Born in 1955.

He would have been 20 when the war ended in 1975 so perhaps when he was drafted at 18 he possibly could have been there in 1973; but the war was slowly winding down then and perhaps the draft wasn’t taking in anymore. It can go either way. Somebody in the VA could affirm.

If 64, why does he look 94?

If he’s 64, he would have ben around 16 or 17 when the Marines pulled out.

About 3 minutes is all it would take to see if he was a Viet Nam vet. And if he was a combat vet, about 2 minutes.

Let’s as John Kerry - he seems keen on telling Vietnam War stories. Maybe he knows...

I’m 64. I graduated High School in ‘73 and missed the draft by 2 weeks. It was not a popular time for the Armed Services. I was talking with the Navy recruiter in ‘74 and almost signed up but got a call-back from the local daily Newspaper and have been in print advertising ever since.

The names of those who falsely reporting this episode and because it made the media appears it was a pre planed event should be doxed and held legally accountable and publicly shamed including the Archdiocese of Covington

The youngest GI (a Marine) was 15 years old when he was KIA in VN. So I guess anything is possible.

Much could be resolved if the media would request info readily available on his discharge papers.

He is a professional, emotional, bleeding heart liberal. (Which means he is a liar but this is getting excessively over redundant.) He stirs the pot for his livelihood.

From the Vogue article:

At the start of the [February 22, 2018 prayer] walk, Phillips had just turned 64 years old. “DAPL stepped on my birthday cake,” he said.

His birthday is in the middle of February, 1955. And he had just turned 63 years old. :-)

What he did the Military has no bearing on his behavior here.

Being a Veteran does not grant immunity for reprehensible civic behavior.

As usual, everyone is looking at the shiny object instead of what is really going on.

On the YouTube Comments of the initial video, the Leftists were going on and on about the Indian serving in Vietnam, the same kind of people who spit on returning Vietnam Veterans. Hypocrites grasping at straws to damage some Teenagers, what a surprise.

There is a link in a piece on FR. In 2007 he said his service was 1 year AFTER the Vietnam War.

I am a retired Army Field Grade Officer, post Vietnam. I have never heard the term “recon ranger.” I have seen stolen valor and the point made in the tweets about stolen valor artists never claiming to have a menial job in the military but always the top of the line position in Rangers, SEALs, etc matches this guys alleged autobiography. And of course he fits the picture the media and lunatic left searches for so he is their new poster boy. It smells very fishy to me.

Trump should have learned his lesson on this. Let someone else go after his service or lack thereof.

Come on guys. He served right alongside Richard Blumenthal. Together they did Secret missions into Laos and Cambodia, following the trails originally blazed by John Kerry.
