That’s about a third of total US annual abortions. It’s disgusting to think that ~1 million abortions occur each year. I would like to know what percentage of these pregnancies occurred despite contraception. In ~85% of abortions the woman is unmarried. If you are unmarried, and don’t want a child, why aren’t you using effective birth control?

It's not a million a year anymore thanks to Crisis Pregnancy Centers and states forcing abortuaries to follow normal medical inspection rules. It's about 2/3rds of a million now.

So Planned Parenthood is doing about half the abortions in the US.

Because there is no such thing. About half of women who present for abortions were on contraception when they conceived. Former abortion provider Carol Everett said it is no coincidence that abortion providers encourage sexual activity in “sex education” and sell ineffective contraceptives.
