I’m not a fan of the wall. I consider it a desparate measure, the outcome of a deliberately disdainful, unmotivated, corrupt, and and irresponsible House and Senate. Immigration is their permanent campaign issue, and they will not resolve it by themselves, as they are committed to the permanent campaign.

This country needs to make immigration, or temp visa worker registration, easier and more traceable. Our demographics can support that. But our “representatives” would lose the issue. Both parties are deaf, and prolonging the pain by design.
Alternatively, make Mexico our 51st thru 82nd state. What the Mexican government is supporting on our border is cause for war.

The only way a split can possibly work is mass relocation, which will never happen unless forced. Even then, how would it be split? Logically, the West Coast would be separated from the East Coast, like Pakistan was in the beginning.

#1- Nobody is starving. My grandfather fought in a civil war and the counter revolution afterwards. During the 1960’s when civil war was mentioned he laughed and said “American poor people are to fat to fight.”
He said a man has to look across the table and see his family hungry and then either a family member or great friend murdered by those in power to make a man pick up a gun and kill someone.
#2- Those that advocate the CW are always far away from the fighting and dying that will need to be done. Unless you can take a club and beat a man to death don’t pretend that it will be easier with a rifle or bomb. Because you WILL get blood on your hands.
#3- When the revolution is over, the same type of people that were in charge, will try to stay in power (for the good of the cause). It will degenerate into groups dividing themselves among racial, religious or familial groups. If you aren’t pure, then you’re not trusted and might be killed “just to be safe”. (you can never be to careful)
Even the most rebellious of the rebels might not be pure enough once the rebellion is over. They are the first ones put against the wall or made to disappear.
#4- The thing that is replaced after a revolution is never what you expect unless you were in power with the rebels or the government that crushes the rebellion.

I doubt anything will happen while the poorest are the most likely to be obese and are the most entertained poor people ever. That changes, then maybe. Still kind of doubtful, you would think eligible voter turnout would go way up before the country starts splitting up.
