I just don’t understand why the Jewish people in the US can’t see the Democrat party hates them. Why a majority of them align themselves with that party just amazes me.

Will someone explain it to me? Because I’m just not understanding it.

There still seems to be a widespread feeling (emotion, not reason) that the ‘Rat party of today is still that of FDR. The guy has been dead for going on 75 years and their are those in the Jewish community in America that still hold blind allegiance to his party. Its totally irrational, I agree, and try as I might I cannot convince most of my Jewish friends to see it any other way.

You and me both. One of my best friends is Jewish and votes republican, the rest of his family are RABID dimocrats. And these people are successful in business. Can’t understand why you would be business minded and then vote for communists.

Liberalism is a spiritual pathology.

Away from their homeland, Jews seem to disconnect. Maybe there is something to the notion that we draw our identity and character from the the earth.

The devil made them do it. That’s my story and I’m sticking with it. He knows what Israel, and Jerusalem represent, and the fight is to the death, and it ain’t over till it’s over.

That’s why Jews are called the “children” of Israel.

From this Jewish perspective, I agree totally. The Democrat hatred for Jewish voters even gets worse when you are white, male, professional, and solidly middle class. (You can add in any other demographic factor that doesn't mesh with their perverse identity politics.)

What's even more amazing is the lionization of Franklin D. Roosevelt and his legacy that seems to get passed down from generation to generation in some left-leaning Jewish families. I wouldn't blame the Holocaust on FDR, but it is clear that the policies of the Roosevelt Administration in the pre-WWII years cost many European Jewish lives. And I can't figure out as to how Roosevelt was particularly helpful to the American Jewish population in general.

Regardless of what you think of the legacy of FDR, it is obvious that today's Democratic Party, with the blatant antisemitism and anti-Israel positions among too many top top-ranking officials within it, is a vastly different party than it was in the 1930s and 1940s.

Case in point: the "ex-communication" of Joe Lieberman from the Democratic party for his pro-Israel and robust foreign policy views.

Jews have a pathetic self destructive history of embracing those who screw us and screwing those who.embrace us.
