Yes, deport them all. And, more immediately, close the border!!!
If they don’t have a green card/work permit, they will be just sitting around on their asses, and I certainly don’t want that-I want them working and paying taxes like every green card I’ve ever hired or worked with in construction. Also, to get a work permit/green card, you can’t have a criminal record-if you lie about it and get caught, you get picked up by la migra and taken back across the border-I’ve seen that happen at work a time or two-they will almost always get caught when their I-9 is checked out.
When 9-11 happened, the company I work for lost 4 of the 5 green card skilled laborers we had working-they went right to the Army and Air Force recruiting offices and took the oath-gave us a week’s notice before they shipped out to basic. They were all young guys-19 to maybe 25, and all spoke passable English, too-we do not hire mojados and we don’t work with any contractor who does-plenty of citizens and green cards do skilled construction labor out here...
