In her universe she has earned the right to enjoy her status. The Democrats voted to put her back in via House takeover as Speaker: The non-voters (all parties) choose to allow a Democrat takeover of the House.
Hopefully the non-voters will pay dearly enough to vote in further elections. Well, hopefully they will vote wisely in further elections.
And, no, not one itty bitty bit of sorrow for the non-essential folks with one exception: Those who voted for the Republican party. They got dragged into the mess. Just hoping THOSE folks start setting funds aside one way or the other, in case of another Federal shutdown. That is if they get back to work.
The facts are that the status quo Nancy Pelosi is protecting and in fact staking her very life on, does not exist. She is so far behind the times and isolated that it is pathetic
