800,000 leeches

700,000 of whom are probably already proven to be unnecessary

What happened? I thought that Schumer was in control of the Senate because he is the only Senate leader who has been talking to the news media to lay down the law.

Sides are still far apart, but there’s movement at least. Pelosi increased the bid side by a billion dollars today (though no wall) and Trump has brought DACA into the negotiations, but not enough to placate the Dems.

Mitch has the votes for this. That puts the onus for DACA squarely on the House. The House, divided, that is.

They will either cave or they will own DACA against a President who is increasingly popular among Hispanics.

“I’ve said here many times that declaring a “national emergency” is an awful idea. “

That’s cuz you’re touched. The courts don’t run the country and they have no say in national security.

Well, we do not know with certainty.

However, If the votes were not there, McConnel would not have made the announcement and the President would not have brought it up on a Saturday afternoon.

Pelosi has today been put on notice that the game has changed.

“I blame Puke Ryan most for no action on Trump’s border wall. What a skunk. We had a House majority last year.”

Nope. Not with Ryan in charge. He was put in there by the majority party. They were not republicans.

A lot of them dropped out. Many point to that as being why Dems took house. I look to the story being- Pelosi et al make fools of themselves over next two years, with assistance from our anti wimp president.many pro Americans win republican House seats in 2020. Trump moves U.S. agenda way ahead.

I agree with you in part, however the House passed a budget bill which included the $5.7B for the wall just prior to the Dems taking over. When it went to the Senate, McConnell did not get it passed. He let the BS Senate “rules” take precedent over the good of the nation. He could have told Schumer to shove it and go nuclear and pass the House bill and the shutdown never would have happened. McConnell is the real culprit here. But, I do agree that Ryan for two years did nothing and thus is very much at fault that there is no wall funding. He was in the pockets of the open borders Chamber of Commerce. the Koch brothers and the Business Roundtable.

The RATS will reject the deal and Trump can now say I have offered good faith compromises and they have been rejected leaving me no alternative except to declare a national emergency and build entire wall.

Nasty b*tch, irresponsible COWARD!!!

She should be censured, and removed as Speaker for cowardice, dereliction of duty, and desertion.

Steny Hoyer would love to kick her soggy Depends @ss out of the Speaker position. He despises her personally. Of course, he doesn’t have the balls to do anything.

Daca Amnesty with “wall funding”.

No, that's not what Trump proposed. He proposed three years of protection from deportation for 700 or 800k dreamers plus 300k more temporaries. Then he will negotiate amnesty in exchange for actual reforms.

Thank you for the nice summary!

Unfortunately, it sounds from this proposal that Trump’s “help” from our Republican majority in the Senate is going to be limited to extensions of amnesty. There’s some good stuff in there, too, but it looks like the GOPe price is more amnesty, and I guess Trump is agreeing to pay it. Maybe he has to, anyway, with the current courts being what they are. Who knows.

The Rats know that a real barrier would shut down the largest asset they have in the electoral process. They won’t accept this at any price, as it would be suicide.

You got it right. He also gets more than that and sets the stage for other actions that he must take.

President Trump should direct The Secretary of the Treasury to
"freeze all payments, disbursements, reimbursements, etc. to members of congress until a proper budget is passed."

This would spur immediate action and in the meantime they'd be forced to get by on their bribes and kickbacks.

This speech today had little to do with reaching out to the dems which is a hopeless cause.

Trump HAS to keep the Republicans behind him. That is what this speech today was all about.

She had to fly to SF commercial. LOL

A few more commercial flights, she'll be willing to give 100 mil. She can't be flying with the common people.

You said he didn’t.. then said he did in your last sentence. Amnesty is wholly unacceptable in every circumstance. 1986 destroyed our country and you want more.
