No deal unless “Birthright Citizenship” is ended and citizenship is dependent upon one’s parents being American citizens, plus an end to chain migration and family unification (in which one applicant sponsors an entire village of supposed relatives).

I rewatched “Godfather — Part II a few nights ago. The old Ellis Island system of screening emigrants for disease and intelligence seemed preferable to today’s anything goes system. No welfare benefits for immigrants were permitted back in the day.

There was no welfare for anybody, not at the federal level.

The character of immigration then, and now, is not in any way comparable. What we have now, is a complete disgrace, perpetrated and/or allowed by both political parties.

A complete moratorium on any immigration whatsoever is what’s required, didn’t say I liked it. And start deporting the illegals en masse. No birthright citizenship, that is a legal fiction. The list is endless on how fvchd everything is. It’s not an oversight this was and is being done with malice aforethought.
