I’m a landlord in the USA. I was ordered to make my units available to section 8 housing. Having had a few section 8ers, I knew that, without fail, they destroy the unit.

So I made sure my units flunked inspection.

And then I could rent to normal people who work for a living.

“I was ordered to make my units available to section 8 housing.”

Ordered by whom?

I know little about Section 8 and always assumed it was a landlord choice in order to get guaranteed rent payment.

That’s odd. Property owners have to apply to become Section 8 landlords, and even then, aren’t required to rent to Section 8 tenants.
