Its Thursday and were still talking about the Gillette ad The Best a Man Can Be. If youve been hiding under a rock, patiently waiting for the eventual return of Louder with Crowder (which is TONIGHT), go check out: Gillettes #TheBestAManCanBe Ad Assumes Toxic Masculinity is a Real Thing and Top 10 Reactions to Gillettes Anti-Masculinity Advertisement. The tone of the ad was incredibly patronizing, assuming most men are basically sexist pigs. Thats the key problem. So its not surprising that weve learned the ladies responsible for the ad are woke feminists who hate Trump:
The director behind Gillettes controversial new ad is a woman whose past work includes an ode to female genitals and a short film that explores toxic masculinity featuring a protagonist whose life crumbles when he becomes addicted to steroids.
Thats Kim Gehrig, an Australian living in London. Shes just one of the feminine brains behind the ad, but she worked with an ad company helmed by Sally Campbell called Somesuch.
Somesuchs portfolio shows that it shares Kim Gehrigs socially active approach, with notable campaigns that include Audis feminist 2017 Super Bowl commercial and an ad for feminine hygiene brand Libresse which is sold as Bodyform in the UK that offered a no-holds barred look at menstruation including shots of blood and period sex.
Oh yes, I remember the Audi Super Bowl commercial, the one that assumed the gender pay gap was real, and that a girl was destined to face a life time of oppression simply because of her girlness.
Sally Campbell, Somesuchs big cheese, has also taken numerous shots at Donald Trump on Twitter. Check out the full Daily Mail article for the deets.
But back to the Gillette ad, which has gotten a lot of free publicity due to its poor reception.
Gillette has said it stands by the new campaign, which was informed by a survey in which it asked people across the U.S. what a man at his best looks like.
According to the study, the most positive traits were honesty, moral integrity, being hard-working and being respectful to others.
Interesting. Honesty, moral integrity, hard working and being respectful are all wonderful traits in men and women. And to be fair, the Gillette ad did put a positive spin on men who exemplified those traits.
I said it in the original article and Ill repeat it here. Theres no problem encouraging people to be their best, in the case of the Gillette ad, encouraging good men to step up when bad men are being pigs. But it was the tone of the ad which rang toxic: it assumed most men were content with the idea of toxic masculinity. When really the opposite is true.
Ive seen this idea bandied about on Twitter but Im not sure by who (sorry), but imagine a feminine brand, like Kotex, hiring an MRA or MGTOW man to direct a campaign about how mean some women can be to men. Then encouraging other women to do something about them. Most women would be turned off. Because the ad would assume most women are catty bitches.
That was the problem: the assumption.
But now we know why the ad took that tone. The ad creators are diehard feminists.
I'm not paying much attention to this chit anymore, but is Gillette trying to be "racially sensitive" by implying that only white guys are plagued with this toxic masculinity stuff?
Speaking of Hallmark... they snuck in some tangential gay relationships for Christmas last month.
But now we know why the ad took that tone. The ad creators are diehard feminists.

The EGOTISM of many feminist women is a key to what’s the matter.
I ran into that by chance and now see that it is a foundational element in the war of women against men.
Someone wrote recently that sexist females believe all men should be grateful for being permitted sex at any time.
Women hired and promoted due to Aff. Action have the egotism to believe males are inherently inferior. They believe male privilege got men what men have achieved and they are now going to be cut down badly.
Since the horribly unqualified Jennifer Granholm was replaced by a male, and now the evil pro-full abortion without limits Gretchen Whitmer has taken the governor’s chair in Michigan, as a Michigander I am a little bitter these days about sexist women.
Sorry to the non-sexist, great women of FR. I’m not talking about any of you. Seeing that Whitmer arrogantly spouting off has soured my day.
Maybe Kim doesn’t like cold lunches.
There is no such thing as ‘toxic masculinity’
But there CLEARLY is toxic feminism.
We have to come up with a term for it because the name ‘mad cow disease’ is already taken.
feminism: man hate disguised gender equity
Like so much else, the accusation is almost always a projection.
We all have a pretty good idea where the real toxicity lies
A capitalist company pretending to embrace social justice so they can capture more business from those who hate capitalism.

Hi.
I like this...

I had to stop watching that ad at 30 seconds.
Watch closely on ALL commercials now a days and you will see homo stuff put just about all of them. Usually two guys or two chicks in the background holding hands, sitting close on the couch. The two men with their “child” sitting on a bed. It is all there. I have seen it in many commercials. Insurance, food, burger joints, car adds, sports, you name it. If you watch closely, you can find tons of the homo crap in every type of TV add now days. The final end of time is rapidly coming upon us. The Scriptures CLEARLY tell of these days and these actions. The Bible is true. Believe it or not. Deny it at your own peril. Just because a bunch of people say “well, I don’t believe that,” does not make it untrue. More say that than say “I believe every word of the Bible.” IF you DO believe all of it, THAT is what GOD expects of us. It is called FAITH. We might not understand it, cannot figure it out, really boggles our minds, but we are to TAKE IT BY FAITH that GOD tells us something. We are to believe it whether we understand it or not. If we do believe by Faith, then that is what GOD expects us to do. There is tons of the Bible I do not understand. But, the LORD says that is what is true, so I take HIS word by FAITH. One day, in Eternity, we shall know all of it and understand all of it for HE will expose it all to us for our knowledge. Time grows short my friends. Please take notice that the LORD is trying to tell this dying world something. Kaliforniastan is paying a huge price for its actions in this past year. First the fires, and now the storms raking havoc on that state full of homo loving politicians who MOCK GOD!!! The Scriptures clearly state: GOD WILL NOT BE MOCKED!!! There is a huge price for that. Kaliforniastan is now paying said price. So has the northeast with storms, floods, record rain and snow levels. Hello world, the LORD is trying to tell us something. Are U listening??

... who are paddling the company canoe right down the swirling drain.
Like so many before.
If you took all of the feminist in the world and laid them end to end, it would be the best thing that ever happened to them.
Don't stop there. This is a Proctor and Gamble ad. There's alot out there to avoid buying.
It’s all fun ‘n games

Most Millenial snowflake guys sport scruffy beards, so the joke’s on them.
Amen. P&G embraces a wide swath of Leftist moonbattery. ALL of their products should be boycotted.
Anyone know a good non-P&G substitute for Febreze?
That’s actually an important weapon in my ongoing battle
to get the house to smell like......Not Dog.
