Whitehorse and/or the article seem confused. On one hand, they are talking about Congress indicting, then pretending that this is related to arguments over whether Presidents can be indicted by the Justice Department. The Constitution sets forth that Presidents can only be indicted by Congress, which has to prove a case to the Senate, acting a jury. You cant have the head of state held hostage to lower levels of law enforcement, just because fascist Democrats want to.
I think that if there are crimes that he has committed he should be indicted. OK Shelly from Rhode Island. List those crimes. What exactly are you charging Trump with doing? Obstructing justice by firing Comey? “Colluding” with Russia which isn’t a crime? When the defense exposes the entire coup détat, will you say, dont get sore, we were just askin? Or are you proposing that the DoJ venture into another unconstitutional coup by indicting Trump themselves?
I understand that the impeachment and removal from Office by the Senate will never happen. From reading history I learned that many, if not most Germans thought, up to the day he gained power, that Hitler would fade away. And that the Jews, when he told his plans for them , dismissed them as "political thought". History tells us in both cases what happened. And history also tells us what people said,"would never happen". Did happen. The Boy Scout motto: Be Prepared comes to mind.
Wow. What the &%$# is wrong with Democrats? This entire scenario is insane. It’s as if they believe when they as Democrats make up facts then those facts are true instead of lies. I am beginning to wonder not only about the collusion between the Democrats and the media, but between the entire Democrat party and the rest of the anti-American world. I don’t know if there is a way they can be awoke from their mass delusion as I am sure being elected into these positions of power must greatly monetarily enrich they own personal wealth as well as inflate their egos, why else but for their own profit would they collude in their delusion against their fellow Americans by colluding against the lawfully elected President of their country?
It will play out like this:
1. The House majority passes the indictment
2. The indictment is thrown out due to Constitution
3. House claims Constitution is outdated
4. All Rats agree
5. Rats blow smoke for next year or so at how corrupt Trump/Administration is
6. Rats pick up more seats in next election, if not Presidency.
“Cant indict a sitting president
And Senators cant impeach
thats for the house.
Who is this moron??”
Another democrat.
Meanwhile, the Clintons still walk free.
They’re playing with fire here. They may attempt to impeach Trump in the House, but the Senate probably won’t convict. Even so, Trump will probably gain even more support if he is impeached.
It was a rhetorical question.
Senator Whitehouse is a blowhard. In the above discussion, he cites nothing that is an indictable offense. There is nothing Trump has done that he could be indictable for. Senator Whitehouse is just blowing wind. All this talk of criminal activity is nonsense. Senator Whitehouse has displayed his ineptitude in this. He is a goofball!
IOW= "We don't have cr@p."
Oh, don’t you remember? It’s like 7th grade, when you got punished for the same thing certain kids got away with, and when you pointed that out, you were told, “Never mind what someone else did. That’s none of your business. We’re talking about what YOU did! “
52, if you count Mitt.
Well, no. A bill of impeachment is a bill of impeachment. An indictment is a JUDICIAL/criminal justice instrument, a bill of impeachment is a legislative instrument.
picky picky...my point is it can be thought of as kind of an indictment. If an indictment is thought of as a statement “Hey there is enough evidence to bring this person or persons to trial (judicial, legislative or farcical versions!)!” then a bill of impeachment is similar since there is a Senate trial.
