I liked FR better before. People really engaged with their opinions on matters... too often now it’s just one liners dropped like a twitter thread.
I’ll get flamed for saying this, but there was a time when most Freepers were just like humblegunner. You posted a vanity or a blog or a newbie comment or a duplicate or somesuch like? You got flamed, you got told off, you had Viking kitties called out, the thread police were everywhere.
Today I politely asked a newbie to please post more than two sentences to his excerpted blog next time. I was lucky. Only got flamed at twice by Freepers.
WTH?
I miss FR as it used to be.
