Seriously, in 1940, Neville Chamberlain foolishly said that Hitler had missed the bus, since England has had sufficient time to rearm and catch up. Two days later Hitler invaded Norway, using the armaments his industry had manufactured while England was rearming. Chamberlain narrowly survived a no confidence vote, and resigned. The King asked Churchill to put together a coalition government, and he did. May ought to resign with such a disgraceful showing, and yield to a more credible candidate for PM, then call for elections.
Maybe it will mean a ‘hard Brexit’ instead of a ‘soft’ one......................
