I can't think of ANY Brit nor American actor whose acting "chops" can pull off Julius, Mark, or Octavian/Augustus.

Not surprising since in the last 2500 years there have only been a handful of men that had the stature of a Julius Caesar. Enjoyed the conservation.

Claude Rains did a brilliant job as Julius Caesar and Brian Blessed was magnificent as an older Augustus.

As much as I really like Warren Williams, neither he nor Marlon Brando ( who was a LOUSY actor !)and please lets all forget Richard Burton's turn...the portrayal of Mark Anthony, in film and T.V. series appears to be a difficult role for even good to great actors to pull off.

I too enjoyed our discussion and thanks, again, for reminding me about that French actress!
