Very well written and very true.
Those that have - either through a legacy handed down from prior generations, or through their own efforts - are targets for those that don't.
In prior, less sophisticated eras, kinetic wars were fought by various aligned groups - typically referred to as nations - to gain access and control key critical assets. Land, seaways, ports, natural resources, etc - all provide core advantages to the holders.
But, just as technology advances, so does the sophistication of war. In this case, an invasion of advanced nations by poorer, less intelligent peoples aided and abetted by certain groups seeking to capitalize on future positions of power, control and wealth.
It really doesn't get much simpler than this - our enemies hate us, hate what we represent and are envious of what we have. They want it, and they are actively engaged - on multiple fronts - in defeating Western civ in order to enjoy the spoils of war.
There's nothing really to intellectualize - we either defend ourselves and defeat the threat, or we relinquish control and suffer the effects of defeat. Trump was supposed to lead the patriot movement and destroy this threat to liberty, but so far he's turned out exactly as he has been for the last 35 years: a blowhard. He hasn't called out the militia, he hasn't declared some states in a state of rebellion, in short, he hasn't crossed the Rubicon, and we should get used to the idea that he isn't.
That just means the fight is put off to another day, when the enemy controls the government, and patriots are on their last legs. That's the reward for failing to be vigilant generations ago before the terminal rot set in.
