President Donald Trump’s nominee for attorney general will tell senators “it is vitally important” that special counsel Robert Mueller be allowed to complete his Russia investigation, and said he believes Congress and the public should learn the results, according to remarks prepared for his confirmation hearing.

William Barr also insisted in testimony he’ll deliver Tuesday to the Senate Judiciary Committee that Trump never sought any promises, assurances or commitments before selecting him to be the country’s chief law enforcement officer.

... “I believe it is in the best interest of everyone — the President, Congress, and, most importantly, the American people — that this matter be resolved by allowing the Special Counsel to complete his work,” Barr said.

This is a bad deal. Barr and Mueller have known one another for a long time and the families fraternize with each other. Who advised Trump on his pick for AG—Javanka?

Yes, finish the investigation without including Clinton, Obama and Mueller himself.

What a crock of sht. They got that statement of “let me finish” direct from the Obama lawyers. It is not meant to end as a campaign against Trump

I thought that Mueller was going to have some sort of announcement directly after the election last fall. Whatever happened to that?

The investigation isn't legitimate. There was no legal basis for it.

Apparently that doesn't matter to Barr.

It depends on what is included in “complete his Russia investigation”? Indicting Trump Jr.? Coercing false testimony by threatening to indict any Trump-allied Republican in a DC kangaroo court? Or Mueller merely reporting what he already has? Most likely the latter, but Freeper concern is justiffied.

Mueller has nothing to report

It is well known mueller has nothing to report.

Therefore, he must give his nothing report.

What’s the definition of “finish”? He should be encouraged to finish as in “wrap it up”. He’s had plenty of time. Isn’t going to discover anything new. Just write the report and “finish”.

It seems his definition of “finish” depends on Trump leaving office. He will keep obstructing Trump’s government and assisting the democrats and media in harming the administration until then and he will not “finish” (as in “stop”) as long as Trump is in office even though he’s not doing anything with respect to the investigation.

Finish his work, in this instance should mean, allowing him to clean out his desk prior to his arrest.

PDJT needs to terminate the Mueller witch-hunt NOW!

no more excuses, its crazy to keep this krap going on year in and year out. and erosive to our representative system of governance to have what appears to be a rogue (and unlimited) “investigation” running 24/7/365...threatening people
