The question is "why are Facebook, Twitter, et al. supporting CAIR?"

What is the connection between them and Islam? In other words, why do they give a shiite?

Their market would be much larger if they were outrageously uninhibited in their permission of free speech. They would be heroes.

The short answer is money. It’s the number of subscribers and the small number of influencers in the Muslim world. If a couple of people or groups say “facebook is haram” then they lose 1 billion subscribers and 57 countries. Meanwhile in the west such a boycott or counter-boycott is unlikely to have any resonating effect.

Personally, I never use those sites. And I think they have reached saturation.
