WASHINGTON—The words “humanitarian crisis” are constantly being used on both sides of the aisle during negotiations over border security and the government shutdown.
President Donald Trump says a humanitarian crisis exists due to a weak southern border, while congressional Democrat leaders have said the crisis is manufactured.
Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-Texas) said the sheer number of people crossing the southwest border illegally—most of whom are families and children hoping to seek asylum—constitute a humanitarian crisis. In fiscal 2018, almost 400,000 people were apprehended by Border Patrol after illegally crossing the border.
“So it [asylum] has created a draw. And so when that happens, you have dead bodies all throughout the southern border. It’s really sad to see this. Not only that, but you have a third of the women being sexually assaulted,” Crenshaw told The Epoch Times.
Two-thirds of migrants traveling through Mexico report experiencing violence during their journey, including abduction, theft, extortion, torture, and rape, according to Doctors Without Borders (MSF), which has been providing medical and mental health care for migrants and refugees in Mexico since 2012.

The money made via human and drug trafficking across SW border is astounding. Drug and human traffickers acting with the money laundering banks are paying off the Dems and Rinos. Agencies such as DEA, CIA have been standing down or working with the traffickers. A wall would slow down the money flow, and that’s really why we haven’t had a wall.
It always comes down to money. But most Americans cant handle the truth. It’s cognitive dissonance, learned helplessness or shrugged off as a conspiracy theory.
Whoa. Humanitarian? So we’re supposed to be “feeling sorry for” the illegal invaders now? And building the wall is now being sold as protecting hapless invaders from the consequences of their actions?
Why is it politically damned incorrect to state the obvious, that the real damage being done here is to the average U.S. citizen property owner forced to put up with the lawbreaking and aggression of these invading illegals.
Degrading and terrorizing our communities where we live, where we are not protected by privacy walls and gates like the elites are, and where law enforcement has been warned off taking any action in defense of private property and against Hispanic trespassers and offenders.
And where the seditionist and treasonous U.S. banks and credit unions have given these alien criminals mortgages and car loans based entirely upon possession of a matricular consular card?
Because it’s “good for business” and it’s “the right thing to do”? What the hell is wrong with this country? I never thought I’d be forced into wishing for Civil War II.

I agree. Money is always at the heart of virtually every socio/economic/political situation. Drugs are about money. Part of the other problem concerning the border and Mexico and the rest of Latin America is the money pulled out of this nations economy by these parasite nations is all that’s keeping them afloat. If that money stops, those economies collapse. And if that were to happen what is happening now at the border and the ‘’caravans’’ will look like a walk in the park.
400,000 people arrested? That's out of control. By definition.
Any system that requires that we staff enough officers to arrest 400,000 people per year is broken. By definition.
